Using Little Wheels in clinical practice and classrooms nationwide
Can I use it across my whole caseload?
Yes. One $4.99 in-app purchase on your own device covers every child you see with it. There are no per-child seats, no logins, and no accounts — the app has no idea how many children use it, because it never asks.
What you pay
$4.99 once per app, per Apple ID. Free for the first 7 days with no credit card, so you can trial it with a client before deciding. No subscription, so there is nothing to expense annually or get re-approved.
What families pay
If you want a family to carry practice on at home, they buy their own copy for $4.99 on their own device. That is the whole cost to them — there is no upgrade, no per-child fee, and nothing that renews.
No client data leaves the device
The apps work fully offline and collect nothing about the child. No accounts, no analytics on the child, no cloud sync. Nothing to add to a data-processing agreement, because there is no processing.
It never assesses the child
No scoring, no levels, no progress verdicts. It is a practice surface, not an assessment tool, so it will not contradict your clinical judgement or hand a parent a number to worry about.
Where the boundary actually sits
It does do articulation practice — the full phoneme set, sound production, and a structured hear it → say it walkthrough in 10–15 minute sessions a child will actually repeat. What it deliberately does not do is measure: no scoring, no percentages, no session logs. If your workflow needs trial-by-trial data capture for progress reporting, keep using the tool that produces it — this is the practice a family does between your sessions, not the record of it.
